“From Stressed to Blessed”
“Time” magazine identified stress as the leading health problem in the United States. High stress levels can lead to insomnia, increased heart rate, high blood pressure, stroke, ulcers, lower back pain, common colds, the flu and more; not to mention the adverse effects of stress on coworkers and family members. Treatments for stress range from medical treatments and medication to exercise, nutrition, yoga and meditation.

Watching TV is not relaxing! The majority of TV programming is dedicated to fear and useless entertainment. Some researchers claim that the attention deficit disorders in children are a result of watching television. Studies in psychology have shown that watching intense emotions on television leaves a long-lasting impact on one’s mind, producing anxiety resulting in poor sleep or in certain cases, no sleep at all.

Yes it’s stress! If you have a hard time sleeping, if you feel tired and lethargic, if you are looking at life as “the glass is half empty” then let’s face it you are STRESSED! But don’t worry! There are amazing techniques that will have you back on track within minutes! Breathing, yoga and guided meditation help reduce and in some cases eliminate stress altogether.
A recent study from the Mind Body Medical Institute at Harvard Medical School states - After performing regular meditation “One-hundred percent of insomnia patients reported improved sleep and 91% either eliminated or reduced sleeping medication use”.

I have based my work on creating wellness routines that are manageable and maintainable for my clients. Positive changes need to be simple so they can be easily integrated into one’s life without resistance. Too much change at once is usually short lived. The focus of wellness should first fit into the lifestyle of the individual. After time the benefits of these small efforts are realized by the participants and soon they will crave to incorporate more dynamic wellness practices.

If your goal is feeling better, start off every day with 5 minutes of deep slow breathing and try eating some snacks during the day to regulate hormones, energy levels and mood. The small steps we take in life that become consistent will lead us to the highest peaks… Now breathe, that’s step one…

Serve and Deserve
Serve and Deserve
Manifesting Health, Wealth and Meaning.

Manifestation has been a big part of my practice in my personal life as well as an indispensable tool within my Holistic Personal Training service. One of the most interesting lessons I have learned is that we can only manifest that which we believe we deserve. Deep down buried under layers of ego, we unconsciously resist the things that we desire the most.
The issue isn’t wether we can or can’t have something we truly want, the issue is “how can I feel deserving” of my desires?. The most simple and absolutely undeniable truth is that we only feel deserving of all that the universe has to offer when we serve the greater good. As we open our selves to the world, the world in turn opens it self to us.
Many books, videos and lectures have surfaced in greater volumes over the past couple decades regarding this topic. One of the most comprehensive and effective reading on this phenomenon is called “Ask and It Is Given” by Jerry and Esther Hicks. This book is chalk full of the understanding of “deliberate creation”. A good portion of the book is dedicated to assisting in the process of moving towards the feeling of deserving.
There is one particular game that has really stood out to me called “wouldn’t it be nice”. This process is used to start shifting attention towards considering what “would be nice”. I’ve been using this game for my self and for my clients and it really works! For example:
“Wouldn’t it be nice” if I created an amazing day?
“Wouldn’t it be nice” if I accomplished lots in a small amount of time?
“Wouldn’t it be nice” if I ate well and exercised?
“Wouldn’t it be nice” if I truly LIVED today???
“Wouldn’t it be nice” if I was in control of my happiness???
“Wouldn’t it be nice” if I served others instead of JUST myself?
When you wake up from your self induced coma, you will realize you are the master and you have the power to live the life you’ve only pushed away so far. Try it right now and you will be amazed at how quickly you become optimistic about the future. As the things you are becoming optimistic about start showing up in your experience, you will begin to understand that you are the sculptor of your life! The experiences you desire are at the tip of your fingers… “Wouldn’t that be nice”?
WAKE UP! CREATE!
